ITINERARY - "The Big Tour" Cross-Country to California!

Day 1: It’s the most beautiful country in the world!  Our adventure begins as we ride through scenic PA to Ohio.  Throughout our trip, we'll make frequent comfort stops, arriving fresh and relaxed.  We’ll never, ever depart before 8:30 am, and most days we’ll be relaxing in our hotel by 5:30 pm.  Your escort is on board to help make each day very special.  En route daily, we'll host fun, games, your favorite cocktails, juices, soft drinks and snacks—all compliments of Seniortours.

Day 2: Miles of smiles, westward to casino fun in Davenport, Iowa, on the Mississippi River!

Day 3: Across the mighty Mississippi into America’s Heartland.  Overnight on the Missouri River overlooking Omaha, Nebraska.  More casino fun (if you wish) tonight!

Day 4: We follow the Oregon Trail and Pony Express route on our way to Wyoming’s capital city, Cheyenne, our destination this afternoon.

Days 5 & 6: Wide open spaces across Wyoming to our home for the next 2 nights in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Our downtown hotel is within walking distance to the famous Mormon Tabernacle and Temple Square!  With a local expert guide, we’ll enjoy a tour of Salt Lake, host to the 2002 Winter Olympics!

Day 7 & 8: Into “The Biggest Little Town” of Reno, NV, home to the world’s largest casino, and our home for the next 2 nights.

Day 8: Our local guide will join us as we tour scenic Lake Tahoe.  What a place!  Casino excitement plus the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Day 9: Off to California’s capital, Sacramento!  Free time in “Old Town” prior to hotel check-in.

Day 10 : En route to San Francisco (our home for 2 nights), we’ll pass through the Napa Valley, with wine-tasting (“of course”).  Free time to enjoy Fisherman’s Wharf

Day 11: Local touring including Golden Gate Park, Twin Peaks, Nob Hill, Chinatown, and more.  How about a ferry ride across the bay to Bohemian Sausalito?

Day 12: A short ride to Monterey and picturesque Cannery Row, followed by a ride through beautiful Carmel and the majestic Pacific Coast Highway to our overnight stop in San Simeon.

Day 13: Today we tour Hearst Castle, after which we thrill to the vistas of the Pacific Ocean as we ride down Route 1, “the most scenic road in America” to quaint, Scandinavian Solvang!

Days 14 & 15: Free time at Stearns Wharf on the Pacific in lovely Santa Barbara as we continue to the Los Angeles area, our home for the next 2 nights.  We’ll enjoy local touring with our expert guide, including— Hollywood Bowl! Graumann’s Chinese Theatre! Rodeo Drive! L.A. Farmers’ Market, and more!

Days 16 & 17: Into glamorous Las Vegas’ for 2 exciting nights!  Casinos!  Local touring & leisure time to relax poolside, take in a show, or “cash-in” on all the gaming action!

Day 18: What a day of “photo-opportunities”!  Lunch at Hoover Dam, en route to our overnight lodging in the Grand Canyon area.

Day 19: Wow!  Today we tour the Grand Canyon’s famous Southern Rim—What majestic, awe-inspiring scenery!  Overnight in Gallup, NM.

Day 20: Scenic views across New Mexico and the Texas panhandle en route to Elk City, OK!

Days 21 & 22: The Live Music Capital of the World—Branson, Missouri, in the heart of the Ozarks!  Get set for 2 great foot stompin’ shows!

Day 23: Across the Mississippi today to our overnight in Terre Haute, IN.

Day 24: More fun as we roll eastward through Ohio’s rolling hills.

Day 25: Filled with warm memories of great times, we arrive home!
