ITINERARY: Mackinac Island & Frankenmuth

B, D=Breakfast (most breakfasts are “healthy start” with cold cereal, fruit, juice, beverage) & dinner.  This sample Itinerary is subject to change.

Day 1: We depart!  A leisurely ride through the scenic Pennsylvania countryside, with a late afternoon arrival at our hotel in the vicinity of Youngstown, Ohio.  Enjoy dinner with your new-found friends. D

Day 2: We head northward this morning.  Later, while our motor coach remains on the mainland, we'll be transported via ferry and horse n' carriage to our ultra-posh home for the next 2 nights, Mackinac Island’s renown Grand Hotel.  Plenty of time this evening to enjoy a rock on your 880 foot front porch, and wait ‘till you see the variety of gourmet dining choices here at the Grand Hotel during our stay! B, D

Day 3: After breakfast, a sightseeing tour of the picturesque island via horse-drawn surrey.  We’ll view Natural Arch, Fort Mackinac, the West Bluffs, the quaint “downtown” area, and more.  Plenty of leisure time to bicycle, buggy or stroll the quaint island, or relax at the Grand. B, D

Day 4: After a leisurely morning to wander the island, we bid farewell to this Victorian wonderland.  Our ferry will whisk us back to the mainland.  Later, we ride through the Michigan countryside, bound for the quaint Frankenmuth area, our home-base for tonight. B, D

Day 5: After breakfast this morning, we’ll tour this picturesque, quaint and "European" neighborhood of Frankenmuth.  Plenty of time to explore the charming "Bavarian" town this afternoon! B, D

Day 6: After breakfast, we head through Southeast Michigan, pausing for an enjoyable stop at the world-famous Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn.  Our overnight is scheduled in the vicinity of Youngstown, Ohio. B, D

Day 7: After breakfast this morning, we’re homeward bound, with more fun and laughter on the coach! B
