ITINERARY—A Musical Salute To Our Veterans! B, L, D= Breakfast (deluxe continental), Lunch, Dinner included. This sample Itinerary is subject to change.Day 1: We depart! A leisurely ride through the scenic PA countryside, with a late afternoon arrival at our hotel in Cambridge, OH. Today we enjoy Music and dinner at Schultz Mansion, a hundred year old mansion, which boasts an Italian flair with domed ceilings, exquisite wood-work, and has every modern convenience available in the early 1900's. We'll feast on a lavish buffet...and later, you're gonna love the live entertainment - 100 years of American Music with Jerry Weaver! D Day 2: We'll start the day with a deluxe continental breakfast. This morning with more fun 'n games on the coach, we'll continue our trip to Wright Patterson Air Force Base home of the United States Air Force Museum. Our docent will escort our motor coach to the Presidential Airplane Hanger where we can tour over 50 planes including Air Force One and JFK's plane (picture ID required). Later, we check into our hotel to freshen up for our gala evening "ball" later, at the historic Manchester Inn. This classic Inn has hosted European royalty, Presidents, foreign leaders, entertainers and sports celebrities. JFK even stayed here! Upon our arrival, some of us might enjoy dance lessons...and the 1-hour open bar followed by our deluxe buffet. Later, ballroom dancing - or listening - to the Tom Dougherty Orchestra featuring an entertaining Vegas-style show...Swing, Waltz, Cha Cha, Foxtrot and more, with dance partners available. Enjoy! B,D Day 3: Happy Veterans Day! After our deluxe continental breakfast, we depart for a PRIVATE morning at the new EnterTRAINment junction...featuring the music of the train era to the history of train travel and how it impacted America. Coffee and morning sweets included. Afterwards, we ride to the Newport Syndicate. It use to be a combination restaurant, cocktail lounge, and the area's first automated bowling alley. But it also had an illegal basement casino, with hidden back rooms, fake walls and an escape tunnel system...and played host to the "Rat Pack", Marilyn Monroe, Judy Garland and many other notables. After luncheon, we'll thrill to The Glenn Miller Army Air Force Band Tribute in full authentic WWII Uniforms, with performances by The Swingin' Sweethearts as The Andrew Sisters. After the memorable "Big Band" concert, we'll see and hear the World Peace Bell - the world's largest-toll 5 times (once for each branch of the military. Afterwards, we'll return to the hotel to get gussied up-if you wish-in your 50's duds for tonight's sock hop! Dinner includes burgers and banana splits and fun for all. At tonight's Salute to the Fifties & Sixties Musical Revue we'll enjoy the sounds that were on your old 45's, with a live band complete with dinner, hula hoops, and prizes for the best dressed, the best socks and the best jitter bug dancers! B,L,D Day 4: After another expanded continental breakfast, we're eastward-bound heading for Pittsburgh, PA. En-route, we'll visit the John Glenn Exploration Center, boyhood home of Marine Pilot, Astronaut, U.S. Senator and Presidential aspirant. Recently moved and restored, the site is dedicated to telling the story of 20th century American history through the lives of John and Annie Glenn. Afterwards, we'll stop at the new Meadow Casino and Raceway in Washington, PA, our overnight destination. Hope "Lady Luck" is good to you tonight! B,D Day 5: After breakfast this morning, we're homeward bound, enjoying the rolling hills, mountains and valleys of Pennsylvania. With more fun on the coach, we happily ride back to home-sweet-home.
