ITINERARY B, L, D=Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner - Some breakfasts are “healthy start” with cold cereal, toast, muffins, danish, fruit, juice, beverage, etc. This sample Itinerary is subject to change. Day 1: All aboard! Comfort stops, fun, games, complimentary cocktails & snacks, hosted by your Seniortours escort! First-class accommodations this evening in Roanoke Rapids, NC. D Day 2: More fun aboard the coach, today, as we ride southward into historic Charleston, SC. We’ll arrive in Charleston in the late afternoon, with time to visit the famous Marketplace prior to checking into our comfortable hotel. Dinner tonight at one of historical Charleston’s most popular restaurants! B, D Day 3: After breakfast, we'll meet our local guide for a tour of this fascinating city, with stops to view the antebellum mansions, the Citadel, and more. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a scenic boat ride. Fort Sumter-where the first shots of the American Civil War were fired-sits at the entrance to Charleston Harbor. This afternoon we’ll visit one of the area’s finest plantations…(and still in operation as a “working” plantation). Enjoy dinner tonight at another local favorite eatery. B, D Day 4: After breakfast, we’ll ride down the historical Route 17 on our way to Savannah, GA. Founded in 1733 on a bluff high above the Savannah River, Savannah is a wonderfully scenic city. Downtown’s historic district is one of the loveliest-and best-preserved-in the United States. Rows of European townhouses border cobblestone streets and shady squares full of Grecian fountains, statues, magnolias, obelisks, and azaleas. You’ll see gold domes and Corinthian columns, wrought-iron balustrades and sweeping staircases. And in this city, nothing goes without a touch of whimsy-like dolphin-shaped drainspouts, flowerboxes grown wild, and water fountains for dogs. Check in at our deluxe downtown hotel and dinner this evening. B, D Day 5: After breakfast we’ll meet our local guide for a day of touring, featuring a complete overview of this historic and picturesque area. Plenty of time this afternoon for strolling on Savannah’s quaint waterfront. A very special luncheon is served today at Savannah’s Pirate House! B, L Day 6: Farewell, Savannah! Today, we begin our ride homeward, bound for Roanoke Rapids, NC. B, L Day 7: After breakfast, with more good times on board our motor coach, we continue our journey back to home-sweet-home. B |
