Day 1: We're off aboard the comfortable touring motorcoach! En route, fun, snacks, fruit juices and complimentary cocktails and soft-drinks, will be served by your friendly Seniortours escort. Today we journey into Upstate NY to the Turning Stone Casino Resort in Verona (click for more info!). We overnight this evening in the casino hotel. Dinner is included this evening. Enjoy an evening of gaming and entertainment on your own. D
Day 2: Breakfast is included this morning at the hotel. We board the coach for Utica where we embark on the Adirondack Scenic Railroad (click for more info!) for a scenic 2-½ hour rail journey to Old Forge, NY. "All aboard" for the Adirondacks, riding in one of the climate controlled coaches—or take in the fresh, clean air in the open car— through remote forests, past sparkling rivers, over bridges, tranquil ponds and streams, into the magnificent beauty of the six million acre Adirondack Park. While you ride, relive the golden age of railroading, a time when wealthy entrepreneurs like Vanderbilt, Carnegie, J.P. Morgan and Collis Huntington built fabulous wilderness estates in the heart of the Adirondacks. The Adirondacks played host to the rich and famous on their way to these Great Camps. Upon our arrival in Old Forge we'll enjoy a picnic lunch at the station. This afternoon we travel to scenic Lake George, where we board our excursion boat for a relaxing cruise on the lake. Following our sightseeing boat ride we travel to Rutland, VT where we make our overnight for the next two evenings. Dinner is included this evening at the hotel. Relax and enjoy your surroundings. Day 3: A hearty breakfast is served before departing for the Vermont Country Store in Rockingham where you will have a little shopping time before traveling to Bellows Falls where you will board the Green Mountain Flyer (click for more info!) for a scenic journey along the Connecticut River. We disembark the train in Chester and ride the coach to quaint Woodstock, VT where we'll have some free time for lunch on your own. We conclude our day with a visit to the Calvin Coolidge State Historic Site (Birthplace of our 30th President) where you can enjoy a self guided tour of this beautiful site and museum. Another delicious dinner is included this evening at the hotel. B,D
Day 4: Following breakfast, we depart for home taking with us many fond memories of boats, railroads, motorcoach fun, and scenic New York and Vermont. More fun 'n games, Seniortours Style as we merrily ride southward toward home. B
