Day 1: We're off on an all-new Seniortours adventure, with your Seniortours escort on board the video-equipped motorcoach! Fun, "open bar" refreshments, and entertainment— compliments of Seniortours. Late afternoon finds us arriving at the Mount Snow Resort and checking into The Lodge, overlooking the scenic mountains and ski trails. Upon our arrival, we'll be greeted by the staff with a Welcome Reception in the lounge. Afterward, a hearty dinner is served at the Lodge at Mount Snow (click for more info!). This evening, why not stroll outside to enjoy the fresh mountain air at sunset, or luxuriate in the heated swimming pool in the greenhouse, or soak in one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs? D
Day 2: After breakfast, we're off to Saratoga Springs. We'll have time for lunch and shopping on our own in this lovely Victorian town, a throw-back to a gentler age. Thoroughbred racing debuted in Saratoga Springs in 1863. And today, we'll experience the excitement and adventure of this history-laden race course, which over the years has grown to become the "Summer Place to Be" in horse racing. After our day of racing excitement, we journey home, stopping in Bennington, Vermont, for a memorable dinner at the historic Bennington Station (click for more info!). Hope "lady luck" is good to you and your horse! B, D
Day 3: After breakfast, we board the coach for Adams Farm (click for more info!) to enjoy what the Boston Globe referred to as "...the ultimate agricultural experience." We'll take a wagon ride through the farm followed by a humorous presentation in the Barn Theater followed by homebaked desserts. Next we travel to the town of Wilmington, where we'll have time for lunch and browsing on our own followed by a cruise on Lake Whittingham aboard the Mount Mills sightseeing boat. Dinner is served at The Lodge. Showtime tonight at Michael's Playhouse, where the "Summer Squash Show" awaits us. B, D
Day 4: Please leave your luggage outside your door before breakfast. Following a leisurely breakfast, we depart Mount Snow. This morning, we'll stop in the picturesque and quaint village of Saratoga Springs (click for more info!), with a special visit the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame (click for more info!). Man o' War, Secretariat, Arcaro, and the Jones Boys are all heroes of the turf and names that evoke the clang of the starting gate and the thunder of pounding hooves, and our visit to the Museum will be filled with the sights and sounds of racing. A lunch stop will break up our homewardbound ride today. More good times on board the motorcoach, as we ride happily homeward, with our arrival home scheduled for early evening. B
