ITINERARY—Williamsburg Fling!

B, D= Breakfast, Dinner.  Breakfasts are "Healthy-Start" continental.  This sample itinerary is subject to change.

Day 1 We're on our way to Williamsburg!  Throughout our trip, we'll make comfort stops, arriving fresh and relaxed.  Your escort is on board to help make the ride very special, with complimentary cocktails, soft-drinks, snacks, fun ‘n games.  After check-in, we’ll have time to “refresh”…and then, we'll board our coach for the short ride to a delicious dinner, served at one of Williamsburg’s favorite restaurants. D

Day 2: Breakfast is available in our hotel.  This morning we'll board our bus and meet our expert local guide for an enjoyable, educational and entertaining riding tour of the Williamsburg area.  Afterwards, we’ll schedule a drop off at the Williamsburg Visitors Center for those folks who would like to purchase the optional Williamsburg Admission Pass, (purchased at the Center for approx $40.00) which will permit complete access to explore Colonial Williamsburg’s hundreds of re-created and restored buildings, sites and exhibits, engage a working carpenter in a discussion about period house construction methods, stop in at the apothecary to learn about 18th-century remedies, explore the homes, workshops, and more…At every turn, you’ll meet costumed interpreters who’ll regale you with the expertise of scholars and the flair of performers.  For those of us who prefer to save the admission fee and visit without the Admission Pass, the streets of the historic area are open to all, and we will proceed to drop-off at Merchants’ Square, adjacent to the historic area.  You will have plenty of time to explore the historic district on your own, have lunch, and visit the shops in Merchants' Square.  Your motor coach will arrange pickups later this afternoon.  Dinner this evening is included. B, D

Day 3: Today, after breakfast, we’ll visit Jamestown, the site of the first permanent English-speaking settlement in North America.  The Original Site is part of the Colonial National Historical Park and is administered by the National Park Service.  On May 13, 1607, 104 English men and boys landed here to carve a small settlement out of the wilderness.  You can experience some of what those early adventurers encountered.  At the National Park Service Visitor Center, a 15-minute film, exhibits and tours will help take you back to Jamestown’s beginnings.  See the original church tower, original buildings, and reconstructed ruins, dating to the early 1640s.  Later, we’ll travel to the Yorktown Victory Center and Yorktown Battlefield, we will see where America won its independence with the decisive battle of the American Revolutionary War.  En route later today, we’ll stop to enjoy a tour and tasting at The Williamsburg Winery.  Later, we’ll return to Williamsburg for a dinner at a local favorite eatery. B, D

Day 4: Breakfast is served!  Bye Williamsburg!  More “Good Times”, Seniortours-style, aboard the motor coach today.  A lunch stop will be scheduled en route home, as well as a special visit to our country’s newest monument, the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC. B
